FeedBurner – Do you want to make your podcast available on iTunes?  FeedBurner is a free service that makes submitting a podcast to iTunes easier by providing you with a valid RSS feed to submit to iTunes.  FeedBurner also provides many useful statistics.

KidCastKidCast: Podcasting in the Classroom by Dan Schmidt, FTC Publishing, 2007.  This is an excellent resource for any educator beginning their own podcast.  Order a copy online from FTC Publishing.

LAME MP3 Encoder (download) – This plug-in works with Audacity to allow the user to export audio files in an mp3 format.

Levelator – Free software that levels all the sounds in the podcast (so the listener doesn’t need to change the volume during the show).

PodSafe Music Network – Royalty-free audio to use in a podcast.  You need to have a podcast to sign-up.  Warning: Some content is inappropriate for students.  I recommend downloading appropriate songs to a common file on the computer for students to access.
